Jori Anne Cachene is an Anishinaabe artist currently practicing out of Regina, Sk. Jori's use of traditional, mystical, and natural symbolism capture intersectional themes of Indigeneity, identity, feminism, and environmentalism in her work. While mainly a painter, Jori also works in a variety of mediums that include acrylic, watercolor, ink, found object, fabric, and has an affinity for journaling, film making, photography, digital media and songwriting. Jori finds great pleasure in being a part of the arts community in Regina which has brought her many opportunities to work on community arts projects within the city. When not painting, Jori works as an Arts Educator and Guidance Counselor with Regina Public Schools. As well, Jori feels passionate about mental health and wellbeing and that has led her to train and work in the areas of hypnotherapy, trauma resolution, and sacred development.
